101 ways to eat cottage cheese

Q. Where can I go to find out how to get a good personal trainer?

Wouldn’t you know, I've got a list of places that talk about how to pick a personal trainer... (This has been an interest of mine lately because I want to get one for my final "reduction" challenge - where I take my body fat down to 15-17%)

Where to read up on how to catch yourself a personal trainer (instead of being caught by one):

http://www.stumptuous.com/personaltrainer.html

http://www.quackwatch.org/04ConsumerEducation/trainer.html

http://www.africana.com/columns/lenard/bl_bodytalk_45.asp

And for some real fun reading, the places that certify trainers have sites too:

http://www.acsm.org/

ACSM (this is on of the two prime credentials, and right off their home page they have a link to their national registry)

Search is at: http://www.acsm.org/certification/FORMS/online_locator.asp

http://www.nsca-lift.org

And you’d be looking for a NSCA-CPT (Certified Trainer) or NSCA-CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning specialist)

Search is at: http://www.nsca-lift.org/trainers/locator/

http://www.acefitness.org/

ACE - this is the standard gym required credential (at least at the gyms in my area)

And if you're a Tom Venuto fan:
